Welcome to the Aiken Knights website!

We started as a small group of Catholic Gentlemen in July 1953

The Aiken Council #3684 of the Knights of Columbus was originally chartered in July 1953 as the Bishop Ignatius A. Reynolds Council.

"As a result of the death of Monsignor George Lewis Smith, in 1987, the Council and Assembly (by joint resolution on August 12, 1987) changed their names from "Bishop Ignatius A. Reynolds" to "Monsignor George Lewis Smith" to honor this priest's long and devoted service to God, Church, and Council."
